The developer’s marketing playbook

You built the app. Give your agent the marketing work.

Install the free email-marketing skill and ask your coding agent to use it in your app. Get an audience brief, an email strategy, complete drafts, and a working local preview built around what your product actually does.

The skills work with your existing project and available research tools. Saka is an optional source of business discovery and evidence for B2B research. No Saka account or email provider is needed to draft a strategy or run the bundled offline demo.

Follow the quickstart

The skills and starter prompt are free. Production Saka business records use prepaid credit. Your coding agent, email provider, domain, and hosting may have their own costs.

Install once. Start with one useful campaign.

Run this in your project terminal and select your coding agent:

npx skills add email-marketing-skills/email-marketing-skills --skill email-marketing

Then paste this into your coding agent:

Use the email-marketing skill to build an email marketing system for this project.
Read the app first. I have no marketing experience. Create the strategy, complete
email drafts, lifecycle rules, a 30-day calendar, measurement plan, and a runnable
offline preview. Label unknowns and test duplicate events, activation, and opt-outs.
Tell me what is implemented and what is still needed before live sending.

Read the installation guide. If your agent cannot install skills, the plain-text starter prompt below works without installation.

Start with the project you already have

Open your app in your coding agent. Paste the prompt. It reads your product context, researches the audience, and chooses a useful first campaign.

Have signups? Help them get their first result. Have a website audience? Give visitors a reason to subscribe. Selling to businesses? Research a small set of potential customers and draft a relevant introduction.

You do not need to know which marketing terms to ask for. The prompt makes those decisions explicit and explains them.

Open your project to a working first draft

Your agent creates a marketing folder with the audience, offer, email sequence, a complete lifecycle map, and a 30-day campaign calendar. Each email has a purpose, a trigger, and one next step.

It also builds a local preview using sample recipients. You can inspect the messages and see when each would run before connecting a sender.

You need to know Your agent produces
Who is this for? A specific audience and evidence behind the choice
What should I say? Complete subject lines and email bodies
When should I send it? Entry rules, timing, and stop conditions
How do I put it in my app? A local preview and an integration plan for your stack
Is it helping? A report tied to activation, replies, or paid conversions

Put research behind your outreach

A useful sales email starts with a reason to contact that business. Saka helps your agent find public evidence, read the source, and connect it to a problem your product can solve.

Use the AI sales development representative (SDR) workflow to prepare account briefs and outreach drafts. You review the evidence and the messages before a sending service delivers them.

Build your AI SDR research workflow

Start today. Connect live sending when it is ready.

You can start the workflow by pasting the prompt. A live campaign also needs an email provider, a verified sender, and working opt-out and reply handling. The launch guide walks through those steps.

Saka handles research. Your coding agent writes the plan and implementation. Your email provider delivers the messages.

Questions before you start

Do I need marketing experience?

No. Start with your app or website. The agent infers what it can and asks for missing facts that change the campaign.

Which coding agent can I use?

Use an agent that can read your project, write files, and run terminal commands. The prompt is plain text and does not depend on a private skill library. Available tools and permissions vary by agent.

Does Saka send the email?

Saka provides business discovery and source evidence. Sending, scheduling, subscriber records, and reply handling come from your application or an email service.

Will this get me customers?

It gives you a concrete campaign to test. Results depend on the audience, offer, product, and execution. The weekly review prompt helps you learn from real replies and product usage.

Can I start with no mailing list?

Yes. Build a useful signup offer, or research a small group of relevant businesses for an outbound draft. Public contact information does not automatically make someone a newsletter subscriber.

Give your next agent session a marketing deliverable

Start with one audience and one useful email sequence. Keep the plan beside the product it serves.
